Come serve with Operation Exodus in 2009!!

2009 is quickly approaching and we need teams to come serve with Operation Exodus. Will your group join us? We hope so.


Here is a bit of information on the opportunity for those who do not know about it.


Project Description: Operation Exodus Inner City's mission is to promote spiritual growth, higher educational achievement, and leadership for undeserved children with an emphasis on the Latino community in Washington Heights. Through quality after-school education, caring mentoring relationships, school placements, and parent workshops, the transforming power and values of Jesus Christ are demonstrated.

Ministry Description: Summer 2009 short term teams will take the Gospel into Washington Heights by ministering to the school-aged children of Operation Exodus. Through tutoring, arts and crafts, creative activities, and sports, participants will help students develop the necessary tools needed to complete high school. In addition to meeting academic needs, teams will lead daily worship and share the good news that can transform lives. For more information or to see pictures and blog post on this blog

Dates we need teams:
After School Program: May 23-30, May 30-June 6, June 6-13, June 13-20

Summer Achievement Program: July 4-11, July 11-18, July 18-25, July 25-Aug 1, Aug 1-8, Aug 8-15, Aug 15-22

Also open to Spring Break trips, depending upon the dates of your spring break


Project Orientation Trip Dates: April 20-22

Housing: Housing will be in an international youth hostels

Transportation: Teams will be responsible for their own transportation to and from New York City. Travel in and around New York is by subway. The subway cost is included in the project cost.

Project Cost for one week: $550-585

Age Group Focus: This project is great for senior high youth, college students and adult teams. The maximum number on a single team is 35 people.
